A weekend of playing with clay

This weekend I wanted to be creative. Of all the ideas and options I had, I chose working with clay. Improving my sculpting skills is always a good idea. I never know what I am going to make exactly. It always becomes more and more clear during the process. So at the end, the result is always a little bit of a surprise for me too.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have made some figurines out of clay. I will combine some of them with other materials: the pebble bearded man will be another member of the ‘Pebble People Clan‘. The other head or bust I  will combine with something too, but I’m not sure with what and how. So that will be another continuing story. The figurine of the gargoyle/bird like creature stays more or less as it is.

All these clay figurines need some finishing touches, because they are still rather coarse.
